Funded by the Ohio Department of Higher Education and in partnership with leading statewide service providers and national prevention experts, OAESV has completed a total of 8, 2-day workshops, designed to train campus leaders on preventing and responding to gender-based violence on campus. During the eight regional workshops, four each in prevention and response, that occurred during the summer of 2016 OAESV and our partners trained on comprehensive policies and protocols, trauma informed response, bystander intervention, and evidence-based training. Response workshop participants were provided with a Changing Campus Culture Toolkit, the downloadable toolkit can be found below. OAESV collected questions from participants at each response workshop and provided answers to the questions in a FAQ document. Culturally Relevant Programming Part One Part one addresses why culturally relevant services and messages are important and the impact they can have.
Cultrally Relevant Programming Part Two Part two addresses some of the barriers survivors in culturally specific communities face, and actions that can be taken to make services and messages inclusive/accessible.
Legal Resources for Survivors: This podcast discusses free legal resources that may be available to survivors of sexual violence in need of legal assistance or advice with the Title IX process and/or the criminal /civil justice process, such as protection orders.
