SUMMARY:CIEO November Meeting
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_column_text]The Ohio Co-Conspirators in Ending Oppression (CIEO) is a subcommittee of the Statewide Anti-Oppression Committee\, comprised of individuals working in various survivor/victim services capacities in Ohio’s five regions. As beneficiaries of white privilege\, members strive to honor our responsibility to dismantle racism and intersecting forms of oppression. It is on us\, not Black\, Indigenous\, People of Color (BIPOC)\, to actively work against white supremacy. This work requires humility\, self-examination\, relationship-building\, accountability\, and sustainable actions. We acknowledge that there has been a legacy of racism within anti-violence movements\, and as such commit to be aspiring co-conspirators and sustainable anti-racist work. \nTo reflect this commitment\, this group has made structural changes\, including shifting towards working groups\, opening membership restrictions to increase participation\, and a name change made official in 2021\, from the previous name Aspiring White Allies. \nReady to become a Member? Click here to declare your interest\, visit the Membership page to learn more.[/vc_column_text]REGISTER [vc_column_text]\n\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row]

SUMMARY:Presenting Data Effectively
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_column_text]\nPresenting Data Effectively\nIn this virtual 2-day session from 10:30am – 2:30pm\, you’ll learn the undeniable science behind why we need to be presenting data effectively. We’ll walk through Dr. Evergreen’s Four Step Visualization Process – a surefire sequence of steps that leads to high-impact graphs. Along the way we’ll consider how audiences engage with visuals\, which chart type will best tell the story in the dataset\, and how we can use easy to learn design skills to sharpen up the point in the visual. After this workshop you’ll be better able to visualize your data so it represents your quality data using simple strategies. \nDeadline to register is August 12. \n**Spots are limited and reserved for folks in the field working directly with data visualization.[/vc_column_text]CLICK HERE TO REGISTER NOW [vc_column_text]\n\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row]
