Attendees will receive fundamental information necessary for providing effective services to sexual violence survivors in a variety of contexts\, with a focus on medical & legal advocacy. \nThe Training Institute is intended to provide introductory skills and knowledge to sexual violence advocates who have been working in the field for two years or less\, or are new to Ohio laws/procedures. Staff members from Ohio sexual violence programs / rape crisis centers\, sexual assault advocates working on college campuses\, or advocates who have not yet completed the required 40 hours of training are welcome. This 40-hour training consists of two 20-hour components. This spring\, the 20-hour online component will take place April 6th – May 3rd and the second 20-hour component will be held in a live virtual format on May 3rd – 7th.
