DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_column_text]\nMEMBERS ONLY\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_column_text]\n40-Hour Sexual Violence Advocate Training\nOAESV has created this training opportunity to fulfill the Core Standards’ requirement of 40 hours of introductory training for new advocates. Attendees will receive fundamental information necessary for providing effective services to sexual violence survivors in a variety of contexts\, with a focus on medical & legal advocacy. \nThe Training Institute is intended to provide introductory skills and knowledge to sexual violence advocates who have been working in the field for two years or less\, or are new to Ohio laws and procedures. Staff members from Ohio sexual violence programs / rape crisis centers\, sexual assault advocates working on college campuses\, or advocates who have not yet completed the required 40 hours of training are welcome. \nThis 40-hour training consists of two 20-hour components. This fall\, the 20-hour live virtual component will take place November 7-11\, and the second 20-hour component will be held online following completion of the live 20 hours. \nThis training is scheduled to be offered again in the spring of 2022. \n  \nOAN Registered Advocate Certification: meets pre-registration training requirement  \nNOVA/NACP: meets requirements as a pre-approved training for “Introductory Advocacy” training.  \nThis training fulfills “Core Standards for Rape Crisis Programs in Ohio” requirement of “40 hours of introductory training for new staff.”[/vc_column_text]Click Here to Register [vc_column_text]\n\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row]

DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_column_text]The Ohio Co-Conspirators in Ending Oppression (CIEO) is a subcommittee of the Statewide Anti-Oppression Committee\, comprised of individuals working in various survivor/victim services capacities in Ohio’s five regions. As beneficiaries of white privilege\, members strive to honor our responsibility to dismantle racism and intersecting forms of oppression. It is on us\, not Black\, Indigenous\, People of Color (BIPOC)\, to actively work against white supremacy. This work requires humility\, self-examination\, relationship-building\, accountability\, and sustainable actions.
