DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_column_text]\n3-Part Seasonal Training Series (Summer): K-12 Education and Support\nWhile school is out for summer\, let’s take some time to reflect how we can best show up for young people in our anti-violence movement. \nPart 1\, July 24: From Policy to Practice: Erin’s Law Implementation \nThis webinar will cover Erin’s Law implementation in Ohio\, including the current law governing K-12 sexual violence prevention education\, best practices for developmentally-appropriate education\, and more. Training facilitated by Emily Gemar\, Director of Public Policy\, OAESV. \nPart 2\, August 7: Proactive Strategies to Overcome School-Based Program Barriers \nIn this collaborative training\, participants will explore the impacts of an increasingly divisive legislative landscape on primary prevention education in school-based settings and how to proactively plan to meet these moments. Participants will work together to identify common prevention barriers\, build adaptable strategy toolboxes\, and begin the development of their primary prevention sustainability plans. Training facilitated by Sarah Ferrato\, Manager of Sexual Violence Prevention & Public Health Initiatives\, OAESV. \nPart 3\, August 14: Reports Aren’t Supports: Mandatory Reporting Harm Reduction \nFrom direct services providers and social workers to policy makers\, this training supports participants to learn more about the landscape of mandatory reporting in Ohio and why mandatory reporting harm reduction is essential to building strong\, survivor centered programs. We will explore the impacts of current mandatory reporting policies and practices\, build mandatory reporting harm reduction skills\, and discuss policies and practices to help our advocacy align with our values.
