Disproportionate impacts of COVID
The COVID-19 crisis is hurting all our communities, but not equally. The data that would allow us to document the pandemic’s uneven toll rigorously are incomplete and only now emerging – and it’s already clear that communities of color, including children, once again are on the frontlines of vulnerability.
We’ve gathered – and are updating regularly – news links that begin to tell the story of the impact of COVID-19 on Black, Indigenous and People of Color and other racialized communities. These communities have been sounding the alarm about the vulnerabilities imposed on them by systemic bigotry and malign neglect for a very long time. Will our policymakers and all of us, collectively, hear and respond to the clarion call this time around?

LGBTQIA2S+ Outreach and Resources
Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual, Two-Spirit Communities are at risk of increased violence with social distancing and isolation. Please remember when working with individuals who identify as a part of this community to check in with them about who knows about their identities and who you are allowed to tell. If they are home with family members, roommates, or in a shelter, they might not have disclosed their gender identity, sexual orientation or intersex identity to people they are in close physical proximity. It should always be up to LGBTQIA2S+ individuals WHO, WHEN, and HOW they disclose these identities.
