As summer fades, daylight shortens, temperatures cool down, and our meals become heartier. We also take this time to conserve our energy and focus on where we need it most. This autumn, join OAESV in that reflection, as we examine elements of restorative justice with Ana Maria Hurtado and Anushah Jiwani.

Part 1: Sept 23, 1:00pm – 3:30pm
Foundational Education Building

In part one of our series, participants will reflect on their current understanding of restorative justice and will learn the difference between the criminal legal system and restorative justice practices.

Part 2: Oct 21, 1:00pm – 3:30pm
What Can a Restorative Justice Process for Survivors Look Like?

In part two of our series, participants will hear from a survivor of sexual assault and their experience with a restorative justice process. Participants will be invited to reflect on their own core beliefs about incorporating restorative justice practices for survivors of sexual assault.

Part 3: Nov 25, 1:00pm – 3:30pm
Putting Values into Practice

In part three of our series, participants will reflect on learnings from previous sessions and co-imagine possibilities for incorporating values of restorative justice in their existing work.
