OAESV operations will pause from December 23rd to January 6th to give our staff time for rest and to spend with loved ones. We will re-open on January 7th. Read below for how this affects our services.
Resource Line & Info@oaesv.org – We will respond to voicemails and emails as soon as we can upon our re-opening on January 7th. For urgent or crisis support from an advocate, please consider calling the Ohio Sexual Violence Helpline, available 24/7, at 844-OHIO-HELP (844-644-6435), including on holidays. You can also find a list of rape crisis programs around Ohio by going to www.oaesv.org/map, all of which have 24/7 advocacy available via phone or chat.
Meaningful Access Housing Program – For the most up-to-date processing hours for direct booking requests and general information, advocates can email housing@oaesv.org. An auto-reply message will provide you with the information. Jazmin Vera, Housing & Economic Empowerment Manager, has coordinated and checked in on the stays and programs that are currently utilizing the hotel with direct booking reservations. If this applies to you, please check for that communication. MAHP will not process any direct booking requests from December 23rd to January 6th (resuming January 7th). Programs can submit a reimbursement request at any time and are encouraged to submit reimbursement requests for any stays that are needed during the days that direct booking requests can’t be processed (12/23 to 1/6).
Advocacy & Legal – We have paused applications beginning on 12/9/24 and will start reviewing again on 1/13/25. Advocates and attorneys will be checking in on calls and emails every couple of days and responding as needed to time-sensitive matters during the closure.
