Sexual and domestic violence intersect on individual and programmatic levels. In the US, approximately 19.7% of women and 4.4% of men experience contact sexual violence by an intimate partner within their lifetimes. In Ohio, 74% of Qualified Rape Crisis Programs also provide domestic violence advocacy services.
Join us for a deep dive on the intersections of sexual and domestic violence. This training series will discuss the complexities of multi-victimization and best practices for serving sexual violence survivors within dual service agencies.
Trainings are facilitated by Leah Aldridge, Ph.D., of VALOR, co-author of the VALOR report “Reciprocal Advancement: Building Linkages Between Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault.”
