As Ohio’s only anti-sexual violence coalition, OAESV is in a unique position to provide many services, including trainings and technical assistance for anti-sexual violence service providers.

OAESV’s Training Institute for Advocate
The Training Institute for Advocates is a biannual program offered to advocates and rape crisis program staff who have been working in the field two years or less, or are new to Ohio laws and procedures. The training is comprised of 20 Hours of online, asynchronous training, and 20 hours of live training via Zoom. The live Training Institute sessions are typically held in May and November.
This training fulfills the “Core Standards for Rape Crisis Programs in Ohio” requirement of 40 hours of introductory training for new staff.
This training is also a pre-approved comprehensive training program through the following credentialing boards:
- Ohio Advocate Network (OAN)
- The National Advocate Credentialing Program (NACP)

Technical Assistance
OAESV offers technical assistance to anti-sexual violence service providers in Ohio. Technical Assistance is targeted support to programs and individuals with emerging issues/needs.
